| Biography | |
Background: Inspired by family of arts teachers, I started on the route for painting at childhood. I won some school competitions. As a kid, I saw father do fabric paintings but I liked oils and acrylics that allow eye catching expressions, though I did not know these names then! I was always inspired/intirgued by worldly events, issues, beauty, horror, inhumanity, love, show-off and any emotional characteristic shown by my characters. This leads to putting an idea together and an art form gets born.
Education: An engineer by profession, I am a self taught artist. With conceptual drawing knowldege, I started with some background in color mixing and layer techniques from my guru - a Master Artist in USA. I have found painting as a medium to connect with organizations that are working on issues close to my heart. I plan to donate a good portion of my sales to these organizations. If you like any of my work do drop me a line about it. Do mention your interests and anything specific you would like to see on canvas.
Painting Philosophy: I see painting as a strong medium to say what I want. I think of events and characters like a maze that come together at certain place and certain moment to form an eye catching, attention grabbing event. This event, if matches my emotion, is put on the canvas by me!
Styles: Since some of my paintings are based on observations, I specialize in modern and contemporary artwork. I am very intrigued by Mosiacs. Many of my existing and upcoming paintings will include abstract, symbolism, figurative, landscape and fine arts.
Mediums: I like working with Acrylics and Oil paints. I am good at sketches as well but have kept those for myself (not for sale, I am too attached to details that I bring out in sketches)
Demand: Indian contemporary art/modern art is in high demand worldwide at major auction houses and can be a good one for collectors.
Buying my artwork: Original, Authentic artwork of mine will come with certificate of title registration which is transferable to you.
